These bookmarks began as something else entirely.

Before becoming bookish accessories, the clay pieces and jewellery components used in these designs were lovingly handmade for my previous jewellery business. Each polymer clay piece was individually crafted using cutters, shaped by hand, and created with care. But, rather than letting these beautiful materials go to waste, I chose to reimagine them.

Instead of throwing away handmade stock, I repurposed it.

These bookmarks are a continuation of that creative journey. A way to honour the time, effort, and love poured into each piece, while giving them a new life in a space that truly feels like home: books.

Selling these bookmarks on my book blog and bookstagram community is not about giving up or starting over. It’s about repositioning, sustainability, and creativity. It’s proof that handmade work can evolve, and that beautiful things deserve a second chapter.
